Policies & Service Terms

These Policies & Service Terms apply to all Hughes Mobile Tech services, including one-time support, on-site visits, remote assistance, and subscription-based support plans.

1. Scope of Services

Hughes Mobile Tech provides mobile and remote IT support services for individuals and businesses. Services may include troubleshooting, setup, optimization, maintenance, and advisory support. Services are provided on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee specific outcomes or resolution times.

2. Response Time Definitions

Response time refers to the time required to acknowledge a service request and begin troubleshooting. Response times vary by service type and support plan and apply during normal business hours unless after-hours support is included. Response times do not guarantee resolution time.

3. Devices & Service Limits

A “device” includes computers, laptops, servers, networking equipment, and other supported technology. Subscription plans include defined device and service hour limits. One-time services are billed based on time, scope, or agreed pricing. Unused subscription hours do not roll over.

4. Overage & Additional Service Billing

If service exceeds the limits of a subscription plan or the originally agreed scope, additional time may be billed at the applicable rate. Clients will be informed of additional charges when reasonably possible before work continues.
 

5. Remote vs On-Site Support

Many issues can be resolved remotely. On-site service may be required for hardware-related issues, physical installations, or network infrastructure work. On-site visits may include service or travel fees unless otherwise stated.

6. After-Hours & Emergency Support

After-hours and emergency support are available on a limited basis depending on service level and availability. Emergency support prioritizes critical system functionality but does not guarantee immediate resolution.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for maintaining proper backups, providing accurate information, and ensuring access to systems and locations when service is requested. Hughes Mobile Tech is not responsible for delays or failures caused by third-party providers, unsupported hardware, outdated systems, or pre-existing conditions.

8. Data, Privacy & Limitation of Liability

While reasonable care is taken when handling systems and data, Hughes Mobile Tech is not responsible for data loss, business interruption, or indirect damages resulting from hardware failure, malware, software issues, or third-party services. Clients are strongly encouraged to maintain current backups prior to service.

9. Insurance & Liability Notice

Hughes Mobile Tech operates as a limited liability company (LLC) in the State of Missouri and maintains appropriate business insurance coverage. Services are provided without warranty, expressed or implied, beyond what is required by applicable Missouri law.

10. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

Payment is due according to the agreed service terms. Subscription plans renew automatically unless canceled. One-time services are non-refundable once work has begun. Failure to maintain payment may result in suspension of services.

11. Governing Law

These Policies & Service Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri.

12. Policy Updates

Policies may be updated periodically. Continued use of Hughes Mobile Tech services constitutes acceptance of the most current version of these policies.
